Karamoja Floods

Torrential rains have triggered off mudslides and floods in Bugisu and Karamoja regions.

Earlier last week, about seven people died in a mud slide in Kaabong district. A similar incident occurred in Bududa again displacing more than hundreds. In karamoja, bridges have been washed away, making transport to karamoja very hard. Loperu Bridge is among them.

Several districts in Karamoja have been affected by the rains. Nakapiripirit, Moroto, Napak, Kaabong and Abim districts are among them.

Environmental experts say, these torrential rains are bound to continue till close to the end of year
